The Standard

Excellence must be plain before it is honoured.

The Institute recognises only achievement that can be stated in a single sentence and supported by a verifiable record. Where a claim requires elaboration, interpretation or context to appear remarkable, it falls outside the Standard and is returned to the nominating party without prejudice.

  1. I. The achievement is a matter of record and can be established from documentation.
  2. II. Its significance is apparent without explanation to a reasonable person.
  3. III. It is attributable to a named individual or defined body.
  4. IV. It is stated in the register exactly as verified, and no further.
